We have successfully set up several land-owners with their own populations of wild boar in natural woodland enclosures. We can advise, for example, on fencing requirements, licensing applications, feed and feeding regimes, blood-lines, stocking densities, herd purchase and subsequent management.
Please be aware that if you would like to establish your own herd, it is vitally important to only buy wild boar from pure-bred blood-lines. However some breeders may attempt to pass off wild boar x domestic pig hybrids as pure-bred wild boar. It is only when the first litter of piglets arrive possessing coat colours significantly different than the expected brown and cream stripes that it is realised something is amiss! Do not take chances, get our expert opinion before buying your breeding stock.
