Habitat management can be directed at making your land unfavourable to the wild boar preventing their establishment, or encouraging animals already present to move away.
This is a particularly useful exercise immediately prior to a population management programme, or following such a programme to prevent recolonisation of previously managed areas.
With the correct set-up, wild boar will readily enter live-capture traps. We have several years experience of capturing and removing wild boar, in both single and multi-capture traps.
Do not attempt to trap wild boar if you do not have the experience! A trapped wild boar is a very dangerous wild boar.
"Although I am scared of them I do find them fascinating and I really do not want to shoot them. It looks like its going to cost me a small fortune in pig wire fencing."
